Exclamation Lets try this again

Earlier I posted a thread asking if anyone liked DBZ, Naruto, FAM or Anime in general, but I think it got deleted? This should be the right Forum?

Re: Lets try this again

Sounds like this is the right place for non-TF related topics. Let's hope for the best...
Anyways, I was a huge DB/DBZ/DBGT Fan for years when I was a kid. I still like them now but just not as much, mostly because I couldn't get use to the strange english dubs, the only source of media back then. My favorite character was.........Trunks (that's right, Goku doesn't have to be the greatest character ever). I just liked Trunks's style and chrisma (the future Trunks I should add), and he was sick with his sword. He is actually the first character I drew, one that took pain-staking hours of patience. If you or anyone ever want to see the results you're welcome to check it out on DeviantArt (I'm Werekat-meow). However, it won't be up till the end of this week (I want to try to smooth out the wrinkles thanks to my stupid laminator).
Other than the DB series I enjoy a variety of anime:
Blue Seed / Escaflowne (subbed ver only) / Kenshin / Cowboy Bebop / dot.Hack / Inuyasha / Witch Hunter Robin / Full Metal Alchemist / GITS:SAC / One Piece (subbed only)/ Berserk/ and plenty others that I have either sampled from Adult Swim and On Demand or sampled from friends.

Actually yes I do like Full Metal and Naruto but not the american versions of either because I love the sound of the voice actors in japanese and I can read subtitles faster than most people that I know. So yeah, I love anime just not the americanized crap that cartoon network shows on the weekends and late at night.

For the Record, F. Trunks is teh uber Awesome, and GT was funded by satan and should be destoyed. Everything you listed there is Good, i enjoy them all.

Everything is better in Jap, I learned a little Japanese so I don't always need Subtitles.

Cool Re: Lets try this again

When i was younger, i used to watch Dragon Ball. It was less serious and easier to follow. I always loved Goku's obsession with food! ...Is that even on anymore?

Not anymore, you should really try watching Full Metal Alchemist or Bleach, they have much more interesting plots and arent as Kiddy.

Re: Lets try this again

Full Metal Achemist is at least on Cartoon Network during the "Adult Swim" Saturday time slot (11:00p.m.-5:00a.m.....2:00 to 5:00 is just a repeat of 11 to 2). It usually air's at 12:30 a.m. The dubbing is alright, to me anyways, but I'll let you decide. If I'm correct, the show is just near its last episode, so.....if Adult Swim doesn't get cheap on us and decide to take it off the line-up for something else, the show should start going back to repeats in a few weeks. It may also start showing reruns during the weekday time slots (same as Saturdays) for mon-wed. For Bleach, well....I'm afriad I can't help you there.

Re: Lets try this again

They also play the original Dragon Ball sometimes, too; it's not in a current timeslot, though.

It was pretty neat - and if you think sex and drinking and any of the other dozens of 'adult' topics they faced are 'kiddy'... You only watched the severely shortened version that originally aired on US tv.

(It was cut down so much that there was only two seasons of a show that ran most of a decade)
