Hey, i'm Sharky ^ ^ (^.^) I just wanted to drop by an say "hey" from Sharky, and i also wanted to ask an important question. I'm thinking about coming out to my friends and family that I'm furry, and I just wanted any advice on what to do or say, and any stories from those who have come out. I'm not gay though.

Re: coming out (of the transformation closet) Welcome on behalf of everyone at the TF Central forum, Sharky My advice is, don't make the same mistake I made when telling your family that you enjoy something other than sex... my parents are never very good at tollerating abnormalities, and I really should have eased them into it, by leaving, for example, transformation magazines and print- offs around the house. If your parents find it hard to tollerate differences, either do this, or keep it a secret for ever. However, if you think they are tollerable and (unlike my parents) will still talk to you after you've told them, then go right ahead. Remember, the final decision is yours, so don't make it just on what I have said. Good luck.

Re: coming out (of the transformation closet) thanks alot, that's some good advice. when you say "print offs", you dont mean anything hardcore, do you? like, skunk man on skunk man, or just a picture of a male furry fox in hot pants enjoying an ice cream in the sun while watching some cricket. not that im gay, thats just what im generally into.

Re: coming out (of the transformation closet) Sharky, Nobody is questioning your sexuality, and nobody really cares If you feel the need to disclose to people IRL that you are furry, then by all means do so. If not, don't. As with any "fetish", it is not considered unhealthy unless your chosen fetish violates local law or interferes with your ability to be a productive member of society.
