| How do you feel about sexuality in TF? Personally, I can take it, but when it is really hard core stuff, I tend to get a little offish towards it.

| Re: How do you feel about sexuality in TF? The "hard core" stuff tends to be so bad I nearly blow chunks. And I don't mean bad as in it's "hard core", I mean bad as in it's the worst drawn piece of art in existance. Seriously.

| Re: How do you feel about sexuality in TF? Ha! Russet. Over at the Fur Affinity forums there is a similar discussion about why so much furry fiction "blows chunks". The conclusion is that so much of it is Web published where there is no editor-as-gatekeeper to protect the public from the really craptastic stuff. It's probably worse with literature (written stories) than it is with art. Play an instrument? Most people realize you need talent and you need to practice. Sing? Most people realize you need talent and you need to practice. Draw or paint? Most people realize you need talent and you need to practice. Write? Hells yea! I learnt myself to write in 3rd grade. Of course that doesn't keep the talentless artist from posting his most gut-churning pieces on line, but at least he suspects his art may suck. Try to tell some junior author the correct way to use the semicolon and he gets all pissy about it. How dare you insult his masterpiece! After all he wrote it from the wellspring of his deepest innerest mostest feelings. And now I must sing... Feeeeelings, Woe woe woe, Feeeeeelings, Woe woe woe... Enough of that. It sucks. Scotty |

| Re: How do you feel about sexuality in TF? Sex is the easiest thing one can make look absolutely grotesque. But the pendulum also swings the other way. Sex can intrigue and add in a new layer of complexity to a work. Horror movies use it to great effect. Also, there should really be another option in the vote for people who enjoy sex in TF without it going absolutely bonkers, with stuff being splayed all over the camera lens, and nipples that work like a roman fountain. c_c |
