| Re: Favourite non-animal tf. And in fact, it doesn't need to be a sophisticated captcha either; just have a specific word, such as 'transformation' into a field in order to register. No spambot can understand the language well enough to know what "type 'transformation' here:" means. |

The following accounts are spammers, all added after the above post: http://www.tfcentral.com/forum/members/introxxtem.html http://www.tfcentral.com/forum/members/spyderof.html http://www.tfcentral.com/forum/members/derretysa.html http://www.tfcentral.com/forum/members/onlinebob.html http://www.tfcentral.com/forum/members/msonyxx.html http://www.tfcentral.com/forum/members/kubikss.html http://www.tfcentral.com/forum/members/mortakrjak.html http://www.tfcentral.com/forum/members/dasfanvia.html http://www.tfcentral.com/forum/members/vrlinvx.html http://www.tfcentral.com/forum/members/chrviaggi.html http://www.tfcentral.com/forum/members/mecinakil.html http://www.tfcentral.com/forum/members/arrpenterr.html http://www.tfcentral.com/forum/members/xrjuviabe.html http://www.tfcentral.com/forum/members/paxilman.html I suspect they see these as throwaway accounts because they only ever post once per account. It might be good to look for a pattern, such as IP ranges, ISP (rDNS), or even country of origin (from the ARIN records). Rather than trying to block whoever it is who is doing this, TFCAdmin might consider putting the block on the web server itself. Then it would appear to the spammer that tfcentral.com dropped off the face of the Net. I once blocked half a class-B IP range for a hosting customer because of a problem. I also know of an admin who blocked a whole country for about six months because hackers who lived there were stealing CC numbers and buying service from his website, charges the bank would later reverse (financial pain for the admin). | Re: Favourite non-animal tf. Yeah, I noticed that the spammers have been popping up, still. Unfortunately, I've no time to weed them out right now. I'm finishing up finals, and things are hectic. I just spent 13 hours in the school lab finishing up a finals project today, and after I post this, I've got six hours to sleep before I spend another six-or-so before my next deadline hits. I tried analyzing the IP ranges, but they're no help so far: the accounts all seem to come from diffirent networks. I'll have more time to think about my next move after finals are over. Also, my laptop power cable is a state away right now, and I've got exactly 5% left on my battery. So, don't expect immediate results here. We'd hoped the captcha would solve the problem, but apparently it hasn't. In the mean-time, any ideas, anyone? |

Anyway, the TF takes place through a mysterious creature named Raven, whom most people fear because he/she/it (no one's quite sure and Raven isn't talking) normally extracts a high price for his/her help. But when Raven hears "little guy's" request and why he wants to TF into a wolf bitch, Raven thinks that's just about the funniest thing ever, and agrees to do it for the price of only one shiny--plus "little guy" must collect the ingredients for the potion himself, which takes several months. The final ingredient is rather specialized and only available at a certain time of year--and the potion must be made and taken within 24 hours of collecting the final ingredient. The story is humor. "Little guy" gets exactly what he asked for from Raven. He is transformed into a cute (in a girl sort of way) wolf bitch. But not being too bright he didn't really think through all the implications of this. I should finish the story. Scotty PS: I'm about 90% sure NvrNoNowX is a spammer too. |

| Re: Favourite non-animal tf. Speaking of body swap TFs, has anyone read Riders of the Mind by Philip J. Eggerding (a.k.a. Cirrel)? It's about a human man named Jayson, a "TOOB rider", a device that lets him project his mind to anywhere he can get a fix on. And a genetically engineered "felocanid" named Kemsa who has been developing the same talents that Jayson has, except she needs no machine to exercise them. They are on a planet named Wilderhom, where the humans live in the planet's one spaceport along with a few races of "phurs" and the majority of the phurs who live in separated colonies. To form a political alliance, Kemsa is married off to the head of the canid clan, who turns out to be a cruel tyrant. On a mission where Jayson is to spy on the canid clan the sees Kemsa being beaten by her husband and through force of will, amplified by the TOOB device, manages to teleport her physically out of the canid castle--and in the process swaps bodies with her. So Kemsa wakes up in a human body in the TOOB facility, and Jayson wakes up in Kemsa's body out in the wilderness. More happens, of course. Lots more. Riders of the Mind is a novel-length story. The story telling is quite good and the writing is such I was surprised to see it published online rather than shopped around to a book publisher. Scotty |

| Re: Favourite non-animal tf. I'd have to go with mechanical because it's the only other kind I've really thought about. I have this vauge idea of having a guy being able to turn into a Gundam, via flesh ripping (eww). G Gundam (tequila gundam lol) inspired that idea. They'd always jump cut between the machine and the guy inside controling it with his movments. It made it appear as though the pilot was just inside the armor, rather than in a cockpit in the chest. Plus it would be a fun excuse to have a random guy use the infamous "BURNING FINGER" "This hand of mine is burning red. Its loud roar tells me to grasp victory. here I go, ERUPTING BURNING FINGER!!!"
