Hmmm, embedding that didn't work.

That's a weird "video", or should I call it a story (text) set to music. And it's a weird premise for a story. But it should be fine if done well.

The easy link to watch/read this on You Tube: Smaug's Boys

Re: Smaug's Boys or Major Campbell is' a coming

TFC and the tf community seems rather lifeless these days, with the main
topics appearing to be "Why do you like tf(so that I can drum up interest in
this dead BBS)?

Which also ties into another thread about spamm bots, what we're into,TBP.

So

I don't like tf.I find it dead and boring,stuck in 1995.

What I do like is tf adjacent material, which usually includes challenges
in how to liven up the tf dinosaur.

So

FrostFang has about 100X more cels, labour, audio tracks, labour,R&D then
a video such as "Episode 5 of "The Queen of Prussia serials"

and FF has been at Youtube for 3 months and snagged 62 eyeballs

#5 has been on Youtube for two weeks and snagged 78 eyeballs

the average QoP episode seems to pull in 10-12 eyeballs

so being extremely generous and saying a 'no brainers' have 1/10 the investment of a FF "Gone with the Wind' Epic (for me anyways)

10 average QoP episodes will snag 120 eyeballs
whilst the FF Masterpiece will snag 62 eyeballs

so it makes more sense to supply YouTube customers with
10 throwaway units rather than one quality one

Episodes 7,8.9.10 are throwaway episodes, built with 3-4 pre-existing cels,4-3 new ones and featuring a plot that is pulled straight from the first
few pages of the National Post, theory being Youtubers are more likely to go
for search terms they got out of their morning paper( or the CTV tv show)

hence episode 7-National Posts shite cult
episode 8 CTV's global warming doomsday
episode 9 CTV's freaked out bride newsclip
episode 10 National Post on missing yacht and sailor

At this stage the first 17 seconds are a prebuilt leadin of
Heidi, the hamlet Heidi is buried in,the flashing numbers beside the sponsor
and the main point of these things, the 5-10 second pitch for renumeration

Act 1
6-8 cels( 5 sec. image,4 second text)

The Public Service message
"The Good Citizens of KingLake,Ont say"If you drink, don't ride dragonback"
or
"If a Ogre offers you Crack in the Long Woods JUST SAY NO"

Act 2
8-10 cels(5 sec. image,4 sec text)

The
YOUR AD HERE
portion at the end

Re: Smaug's Boys or Major Campbell is' a coming

There is such jealously between banjo players and guitar players. I think it started way back, when the guitar was limited by how loudly it could vibrate a piece of wood, while the banjo had to only vibrate what amounted to the head of a drum. Banjos were louder and cut through when played in a band. (This lead to the invention of the resonator guitar, but that's a different story.)

Anyway, banjos and guitars play differently. They are tuned differently and are fingered differently. In an effort to offer guitar players more versatility in how they sound, one company came up with the idea of producing a banjo with a guitar neck. Thus, hard working guitar players could get a banjo sound when called for, and they didn't have to learn a new instrument.

This prompted one famous guitar player to quip, "If I wanted to sound like a banjo, I'd just toss a drawer full of silverware down a stairwell."

But in fairness to banjo players...
Q: What does it mean when the guitar player is drooling out of both sides of his mouth?
A: The stage is level.
