| Slayer (first installment) Stalker- The story of one girls revenge against the cruel world. In a dark grove in a foul part of the world Kelly goes about her early morning chores. Her and her family moved here when she was born to escape the foul clutches of Fenreel empire. They came seeking protection and safety in the obscurity of the land. It was a poor and meager existence, but it was a free life. They squeaked by undetected from the greater forces that be for 15 years so far and it was looking very promising. In the woods where they lived few other people traveled and so for social interaction Kelly would spend her time speaking to the animals, and singing songs her mother taught her to the woods. It was during her early morning chores that she was sent to gather berries deep in the woods far from home. While she traveled far from home and through the hills valleys and creeks she thought to herself that something was wrong at home. The thought annoyed her, because it was never right. Several times she returned home early only to be scolded for not collecting enough fresh fruits to help sustain the family. In time she came to a small pond surrounded by tall thick stones. The stones seemed ancient and imposing, but at the same time quite inviting. She journeyed in between the stones cautiously. As she came closer to the waters edge she heard a voice. This of course was singularly unnerving for she had never before the voice of anyone other then her parents. “hail fair human what brings you to the druids' circle? Do you seek guidance?” The voice said seemingly from nowhere. “I'm just looking for a drink! I swear! Who are you?” Kelly was perplexed. She couldn't see anyone around and yet here she was in the middle of this completely alien environment being spoken to by a disembodied voice. “fear not young lady. This water caries with it a special blessing. You are always welcome here” Kelly approached where she felt she thought the voice was coming from.... Upon close inspection of the stone straight ahead of her she saw a human-like relief in the stone work. She became quite scarred and went running away. She ran all the way back home where she found smoke and fire. Men were there riding horses she saw her mother's bloody body sprawled out on the ground and her house on fire. Her father was being hit by a tall man with a strange helmet that had long hair coming out of the top of it. “We know you left with a child! Where is it?” the man yelled again and again. “Tell me and I can make all your pain end!” her father looked near the brink of death. His face seemed brutishly mauled. Blood slowly leaked down the side of his head. “Ill only ask you once more!” Kelly couldn't take it anymore these men obviously wanted her and she couldn't stand the thought of her dad suffering anymore. “Here I am leave him alone you demon!” Kelly yelled at the top of her lungs. Her heart was racing, her pulse pounding like a drum! She was scarred for her life, but wanted to help her father. “Beautiful. The child has a spirit.” as the man said this he slit Kelly's father's throat from ear to ear. “come here brave child you will be coming with us!” As Kelly's dad fell to the ground she could hardly bring herself to move she was paralyzed and fell to the ground. How could he do that? What type of monster was he? Completely unaware of what was happening Kellys body began to convulse. “hm. Sir.” said one of the soldiers. “I believe the child is broken. She seems to be possessed.” The officer seemed to think about this fact for a moment then responded. “then dispatch the child and throw her and her family into the fire. This was another dead end.” The officer and the rest of the troop mounted their horses and left. The lone soldier went to stab the girl with his sword, but couldn't bring himself to do it. He stared at her and for a moment had no idea what to do. Then he concluded that he would simply leave her there as she was and continued to place the bodies of her parents into the fire. “I'm sorry. You must stay here if you are a witch then the devil take you, but if you are a goodly hearted individual run away from here. Far away. This kingdom has nothing in common with its former self.” As the soldier said this he got on his horse and road away after his comrades. Many hours later Kelly awoke to the pile of ashes which were her home. In the ashes the bones of her mother and father glistened uniquely white in the black pit. Kelly grabbed the iron head of her father's shovel and dug shallow graves for her parents then ran off to the stones. What else could she do? She was homeless and without a family. She had to go to the only thing she remembered as being kind to her. Upon reaching the stones she found that a new one had appeared. This was a black stone with a menacing face on it. “hello child.” said the dark stone “You seem quite troubled what is wrong?” The stone said it so softly and kindly Kelly felt the need to cry as the memories of what had happened flashed back to her. She curled up next to the stone and relayed the entire story to the dark stone, all the while it acknowledged her and cooed to her reassurances that everything would be all right. “Oh child.. poor sweet child. You lacked the strength to save your family. However that does not need to be the end of your story!” the stone took on an evil grin. “Do not listen to her good sister! She is a wicked heartless one who only means to do you harm!”The stone which had spoken to her before yelled at her. “She speaks only lies and will do nothing but try to harm you!” “I will do no such thing my child!” The stone scowled at the other stone “quiet you old pebble! No one asked you” The stone returned its gaze to Kelly. “If you want I can give you that power! The power to avenge your family! They don't have to remain dead they can live again! As well as all those that died at the hands of that evil man! Wouldn't you want that?” The dark stone spoke tempting words to Kelly she was in love with the idea of getting her revenge! With a scalding look she gazed at the old white stone “who cares if she lies I have nothing left to loose! If I can bring back my family and get revenge for them what does it matter? What matters more then family?” “You always have more to loose dear sister! You have your soul! Your goodly heart! All these will vanish if you accept her offer!” the white stone yelled at her. Kelly thought it over and shed a single tear. “I have no choice. I have to agree with her.” The black stone sneered viscously and the innocent looking pond in the middle of the stones turned into a font of blood. “If you accept my offer child bath in the waters of the spring now and receive my blessing! The Blessing of the heart of revenge! You will Have everything your heart could ask for from the very soul of vengeance” Kelly noded in agreement and began crying as she walked slowly into the pool. Her body was bathed in the glory of the spring and inch of her was bathed in the blood of the fallen. Leaving the pool she felt renewed. “thank you dark stone. I shall never forget this kindness.” as the blood evaporated from Kelly's skin it left behind a thick layer of fur. She was led home by the bright moonlight of the fair august moon. Her muscles grew and spasmodically convulsed as she walked back home. A great tail soon unfurled from beneath her pants and her head took on the form of a great dire wolf. She had changed. She was no longer the innocent girl she was when she left this morning, but instead she was a monster. A towering werewolf with claws like sickles and fangs like scythes, and that was all she felt like, a monster. When she arrived at home she walked to where her parents were buried. AS she approached their graves the earth trembled. She crouched to dig them up, but stopped as a bony hand shot up through the dirt. Soon the fierce claws of the living dead were clawing their way back into the land of the living. Kelly looked over her parents bodies. Nothing but naked skeletons with glowing orbs where eyes should be. This all seemed normal to Kelly be this point. She pulled down a blanket that seemed to have escaped the fire and wore it like a cloak. She began to march towards the kingdom of men which had killed her family. It would not be long before revenge would be hers... |

| Re: Slayer (first installment) I would appreciate any feedback for this story you feel like leaving. If I had to guess I left out important details and made logical leaps. I only say that because I tend type out one thing when my brain says something else. Enjoy reading! |

| Re: Slayer (first installment) I can see what you mean. The story did seem kinda rushed, however it was indeed very entertaining...and very sad. If there is ever a continuation to this one I would love to read it and see what happens. If you ever try to edit this story you should probably explain whether the dead parents have been reanimated and can walk around (are they zombies or do they have some intelligence left?) Also (since the theme of this site is Transformation), if you find time you can try and stretch out the details of the TF (what other details can you describe as Kelly walks away from the Durid pond and walks back to the cottage?) All and All, this is a 7.5 out of 10...um...maybe 8. BTW, just checking but u do know there is a actual story archieve you can go to now beside this thread, right?
